CEDARVILLE (KFSM) - Sixty new jobs are now in the River Valley as two Walmart Neighborhood Markets opened their doors Wednesday (Dec.17).
Many gathered in Cedarville to celebrate the grand opening of the Walmart by having a ribbon cutting ceremony this morning. Store managers and the mayor of Cedarville gave a speech saying how much they're excited to have Walmart in the community.
The new store is on Highway 59 right by the post office. Customers can shop for all kinds of groceries such as, fresh produce, meats, and frozen foods.
They also provide a full service pharmacy and customers will be able to fill up their tanks at the on site gas station.
For online shoppers looking for toys, electronics, and more, they offer the opportunity for the shopper to buy items online then have it delivered to the store.
Store managers said the community has needed a neighborhood market for a long time. "We are going to bring a great shopping experience for them," said store manager Bert Lyons. " It's going to save customers money and less traveling."
"We have a great assortment of merchandising inside the store," said Lyons.
Doors are open until 10:00 p.m.
There's also a new Walmart Neighborhood Market now open in Manfield. It's located on North Highway 71.
