NORTHWEST ARKANSAS (KFSM)- There will be free tax services for people who earn less than $58,000 a year. Several places will be open until April 15th.

United Way of Northwest Arkansas is partnering with the CARE Community Center in the free tax initiative.

The tax centers are run by IRS certified volunteer.

Alexa McGriff is the manager of marketing and communications for United Way NWA.

"United Way is really excited about the free tax services because last year when we did this, we put $3.3 million back to the hands of Northwest Arkansas residents," McGriff said.

Last year, the initiative helped 2,000 famlies.

"That's a great service for those hard working families who are really struggling," McGriff said. "We want to help those people and you get a lot more money back."

"It's a great way to file your taxes and feel good about it," she said.
