BELLA VISTA (KFSM) – A tractor trailer caught fire on U.S. 71 in Bella Vista near the Missouri border on Friday afternoon (Nov. 7), officials say.
The trailer was carrying seeding blankets and straw for landscaping, according to officials. The fire started around noon, and firefighters from the Bella Vista Fire Department were at the location by 12:12 p.m., officials say.
Traffic was delayed while the situation was dealt with by firefighters, and by 1 p.m., the road was open again, according to officials.
Pictures sent in by a viewer show one person was taken from the scene of the fire by an ambulance. That person’s condition is unknown.
