BENTONVILLE (KFSM) — A Bentonville assisted living facility owner was arrested on Tuesday (April 19).

Angel Floro, 69, of Bentonville is facing rape and second degree sexual assault charges, according to a press release.

Floro owns the Adams House assisted living facility, located on 101 Angel Floro Drive in Bentonville.

A resident told police that Floro entered her room on March 8 and touched her in a sexual manner, according to the release. She said that had happened on two other occasions inside the facility. During the investigation officers said other residents came forward with similar accusations.

“We are looking at five more reported. That doesn’t mean, that doesn’t confirm that it actually occurred, but we are still investigating and looking into it,” said Gene Page with the Bentonville Police Department. “So, five more that is ongoing.”

On March 21, another female resident told investigating officers that Floro committed a “deviate sexual act” earlier in March, the release states. According to a police report, she said Floro put his hands down her pants in a breezeway of the building.

Floro told investigators he used to own Blossom Hill Nursing Home in Johnson before it shut down in 2013 due to flooding.

Investigators said family of the victims have been notified of the allegations and they have requested surveillance video from the facilities cameras.

Also, according to the report, residents said that Floro’s wife had approached them about signing a petition to drop the charges against him. Floro’s wife also works at the Adams House.

Floro was taking to the Benton County jail and his bond was set at $50,000.
