ROGERS (KFSM)- From Springdale to Bella Vista, more than a dozen craft fairs took over Northwest Arkansas this week.

"It's things you can't find at the mall or individual shops," Debbie Coleman said. "It's things that you can't find anywhere else."

For Debbie Coleman, the War Eagle Craft Fair has been a tradition for 12 years.

"I start  my Christmas shopping here," Coleman said. "It's just a fun thing to do every year. There's everything from itty bitty decorated spoons to big, huge wall hangings. So, you can always find something for almost everybody on your Christmas list."

But, for those who aren't local, the craft fairs are a way to travel and meet new people.

"I love hearing other people's stories," Peggy Benton said. "Everybody's got a story to tell."

Benton said because the craft fair is so big, she had to set a limit for herself.

"I gave myself $200," Benton said. "And, I've gone over, but most of it has been for food items, so that doesn't really count."

With nearly 300 booths set up at War Eagle, it's easy to find something unique, which is what keeps people coming back for more.

"You could probably spend two days here," Coleman said. "I usually just do one because I'm local. But, there's so many different booths. If you went to every single one, it would probably take you two days to go through it."

The next round of craft fairs will begin in May.
