Fort Smith Police arrested two men and a woman on a handful of drug-related charges Monday.
Anthony Corday Lyons, 29, Brent Darrell Mack, 40, and Javona Ann Davis Longley, 21, were arrested after officers searched a duplex and found more than eight ounces of methamphetamine valued at $22,000.
The Fort Smith SWAT team executed a search warrant on Lyons’ residence located in the 5000 block of S. 32nd. During the search they also found more than $5,000 in cash and a stainless steel Judge pistol loaded with five rounds of 45 Long Colt ammunition, police say.
Officials began investigating Lyons back in March after the Narcotics Unit made several buys from him and other individuals in a duplex located at 1308 Jacobs. Police say on Mach 21, they responded to a disturbance at the duplex and found a blood trail leading to a bedroom where Lyons was found with several stab wounds. He was taken to the hospital that night. Police say he refused to cooperate with investigators.
Lyons has been booked into the Sebastian County Detention Center on the following charges: Possession of Methamphetamine with the Purpose to Deliver, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Maintain Premises for Drug Activities, two Counts of Delivery of Methamphetamine, Trafficking a Controlled Substance, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Mack was booked and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Maintain Premises for Drug Activities, Trafficking a Controlled Substance, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Mack was also wanted out of Guthrie, Okla., for allegedly assaulting a police officer.
Longley is charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, Manufacturing Marijuana and Warrant for Contempt – Failure to Pay Fine.
All three are being held without bond at the Sebastian County Detention Center.
Police say Lyons’ residence is located within the 1000 feet of a church which carries a further substantial penalty.
Investigators anticipate at least one more arrest in this case.
