LITTLE ROCK (KTHV) – THV11 News is sad to report that a woman who put her daughter’s needs ahead of her own has died.
Traci Hardig, 42, of Benton, lost her nine-year battle with Stage 4 breast cancer on Dec. 27, 2014. She is the mother of Kali Hardig, who had her own battle with Parasitic Meningitis last summer.
Kali is one of only three people to survive the very rare and usually-fatal brain infection. Since the beginning of Kali’s treatments, Traci Harding has put her daughter’s needs before her own, standing with her every step of the way through her recovery.
In July, Hardig announced that she was in remission and would no longer receive chemotherapy treatments, but in August, doctors discovered a new spot on her liver.
