A judge found Zachary Holly, the man charged with capital murder in the death of six-year-old Bentonville girl, was found mentally competent fit to stand trial Friday (Aug. 30).

Holly will appear in court on Nov. 15 for a motion hearing. The state's attorney says it is in the best interest of both parties involved to take the time to prepare the case. Holly's jury trial is set to begin April 15 of next year.

Earlier in the year, Holly underwent two mental evaluations after his attorney argued he was not mentally fit.

He is accused in the death of Jersey Bridgeman whose body was found in a vacant house in November.

Holly remains in the Benton County Jail, also charged with kidnapping, rape and burglary in connection with the Bentonville girl`s death.
