Fayetteville police are searching for a hit-and-run suspect they say struck a pedestrian with a vehicle Tuesday night on 15th Street.
A man was crossing the street near the Salvation Army when he was struck by what eyewitnesses said may have been a white Toyota Passenger car shortly before 6 p.m. The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said Sgt. Craig Stout with the Fayetteville Police Department.
The victim sustained scrapes and bruises. His injuries are not believed to be serious, police said.
Investigators are searching for the vehicle used in the hit-and-run, with police saying they may have the tag number of the car involved.
