A funeral service for Carpenter will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, at the Waldron High School Football Field.
At 1 p.m. Friday, June 7, a service will be held for Officer Campora at the same field located on W. Highway 80.
Arkansas Governor Beebe has ordered Arkansas flags to be flown at half-staff on Wednesday in honor of the men.
Carpenter, 41, and Campora, 32, were killed while attempting to rescue two women from a flooded home off Highway 71 early Friday morning (May 31) in Scott County. The four were swept away when flood waters caused the home to implode.
The bodies of the two women, Vivian Reimer and Regina “Kay” Shearn, were recovered over the weekend. Reimer and Shearn were relatives. Shearn, 60, had been a math and science teacher in the Fort Smith School district.
No word yet on when funeral services will be held for Reimer or Shearn.
More than 200 officers from local, state and federal agencies helped with the search.
