Fort Smith, Ark.- The Fort Smith Museum of History helped visitors celebrate what is known as the last weekend of summer.
The museum held its Annual Ice Cream Social. The event is held on the Sunday before Labor Day each year.
Attendees paid $5 and were able to build their own sundaes from a variety of ice cream flavors and toppings. The event also acts as a fundraiser for the museum.
Today (August 31) is the last Sunday the museum will be open until next summer. Regular hours for the museum are Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
