FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM)- Former Razorback football player Marquel Wade was released on bond Tuesday (March 10) morning after he was arrested a day earlier on a probation violation charge, according to Washington County Detention Center jail records.

His bond was set at $10,000 and his next court date will be March 23, records show.

Wade and another former Razorback football player, Andrew Peterson, each pleaded guilty to one count of residential burglary in 2012. They were both sentenced to six months in the Arkansas Department of Community Correction and 60 months supervised probation. The probation period includes the six months each spent in prison.

Wade and Peterson will be on supervised probation until October 2017, according to officials. Their felony records can be expunged if they serve their sentenced without incident, court records state.

Wade, Peterson and Maudrecus Humphrey, another former Razorback football player, were arrested in May 2012 on suspicion of residential burglary in dorm rooms on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville.

Humphrey’s case was later assigned to the Washington County Drug Court.

Wade was a standout wide receiver for the Razorbacks, Peterson played tight end and Humphrey was also a wide receiver.
