FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – A Fayetteville man was sentenced to 25 years in prison on March 26 for sex trafficking of children, according to a news release from U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas Conner Eldridge.

Doncouri Wells, 38, was sentenced to 300 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release, according to Eldridge.

From June 2-8, 2014, Wells benefited financially from providing commercial sex acts with a minor, according to court documents. The victim was 16, authorities said. Wells utilized the Internet service of BackPage.Com to promote the prostitution of the victim, according to the release.

During the above-mentioned time period, Wells rented out a local motel room in Fayetteville and made the minor have sex with multiple men, court documents state.

He was eventually arrested and pleaded guilty to sex trafficking of children on Nov. 21, 2014, according to Eldridge.

Because Wells was already on parole for drug charges at the time he was convicted of sex trafficking, he was labeled a “career offender.”
