FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) - Thousands of University of Arkansas students will walk the stage Saturday (May 9) in Fayetteville to get their diplomas.
The Braden family was one of many who went out to celebrate a graduate on Dickson St. prior to the ceremonies.
“It is always important when someone is graduating from college,” said Terry Braden, father of a graduate. “It shows that they have achieved a certain level of education, as well as perseverance to make it there.”
Even families from the Bahamas made their way to Arkansas.
“All my family from the Bahamas [is here,]” said Domonique Butler, a graduate from the Bahamas.
Butler wore her cap and gown a day early, and posed for pictures on the field of Razorback Stadium.
“It is a once in a lifetime opportunity,” Butler said.
