FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – Washington County Quorum Court member Eva Madison has agreed to serve on a two-person committee with county Chief of Staff Dan Short investigating faulty bridges in the county.

The Quorum Court is set to meet Monday (April 20) at 5:30 p.m. to vote on a resolution authorizing the investigation by the two-person committee, said Marilyn Edwards, county judge.

The Quorum Court voted on Thursday (April 16) for Madison to serve on the committee with Short. Madison, pictured above at right with her mother and fellow Justice of the Peace Sue Madison, said at Thursday’s meeting she would make her decision known on Friday. Eva Madison emailed a letter Friday to Edwards, agreeing to serve.

Edwards said she expects the two-person committee to report their findings to her in two weeks from Monday.
