CRAWFORD COUNTY (KFSM) - A couple in northwest Crawford County was severely injured when their mobile home was destroyed by a possible tornado on Wednesday (March 23).

The couple, Paul and Pat Reed, were flown to a Tulsa hospital by medical helicopter. According to a family friend, Pat Reed has a fractured eye socket, broken neck and broken ribs. Paul Reed has internal bleeding, bad cuts on his arms, a punctured lung and a back injury.

Eyewitnesses told 5NEWS the couple's mobile home was blown off its blocks. Relatives said the couple were on their way to the bathroom, when they were thrown more than 100 feet.

The mobile home is completely destroyed. 5NEWS crews on the scene said the home looked like it had been moved about 50 feet from its base.

Paul and Pat Reed have both undergone surgery this morning, but we don't know their condition at this time.

The National Weather Service is on the scene surveying the damage to determine whether it was caused by a tornado. One of the surveyors said that Wednesday night's radar indicated a tornado.
