A Berryville man was killed in a head-on collision in Carroll County on Friday, the Arkansas State Police said.
Earl T. Rowland, 72, died in the crash on Highway 221 just north of Berryville, police said in a report.
Rowland lost control of his Nissan Altima on a curve about 2:30 p.m. and crossed the center line. He struck the side of an oncoming Chevrolet K2500 pickup, then hit an oncoming Dodge Dakota head on.
It was raining when the accident happened.
Rowland died at the scene. The driver of the Dodge, Allie Hatcher, 39, of Golden, Mo., was taken to Mercy Hospital in Berryville.
She was not listed as a patient there on Saturday.
Rowland and Hatcher were wearing seat belts, the report states.
