UPDATE: Arkansas State Police report that the driver of the SUV was injured and taken to Washington Regional Medical Center.

UPDATE: The Arkansas State Police report that the accident is now clear and all southbound lanes have reopened two hours after the initial accident report.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ark.—A car fire created a long-lasting traffic jam on I-49 just ten miles south of Fayetteville.

Viewer Madison Sides sent in the video seen above. She was traveling north towards Fayetteville.

The fire, near West Fork, consumed a southbound gray SUV on the side of the road as seen in the video.

The Arkansas State Police report that the accident is now clear and all southbound lanes have reopened two hours after the initial accident report.
