Strong storms overnight didn’t send many of the Wakarusa goers packing. The Mulberry Mountain campsite was still packed Sunday — day four of the annual music festival near Ozark in Franklin County.

Wakarusa 2012, the 9th annual music festival in the Ozark Mountains, drew more than 15,000 people, organizers said. Attendance was down about 5,000 from last year.

Arkansas State Police Capt. Steve Coleman said that on the law enforcement side, this year’s festival was smoother than last year’s.

“We’ve made some arrests during this event, but everything has gone very smoothly,” Coleman said. “[As far as] the traffic, we haven’t had any significant problems. Only a few minor crashes, nothing of any significance. I think it has gone very well.”

The festival ends Monday morning about 2 a.m. Festival goers are asked to clear the campsite by noon.
