CBS News – Two teachers were arrested Saturday for allegedly having sex with students on a November beach trip, reports CBS Los Angeles.

Deputies arrested Melody Lippert, 38, and Michelle Chirelli, 30, who teach at South Hills High School after the Orange County Sheriff’s Department were alerted to the alleged misconduct that occurred at San Clemente State Beach. This trip was not sponsored by the school, according to the station.

Lippert had allegedly met up with a group of male students in November 2014 and supplied them with alcohol, also having sex with one of them, investigators say.

Several weeks later, Chirelli and Lippert held another trip with several of the same students. The two teachers are accused of having sex with two male students on that trip — one was 18-years-old and another was a minor, according to CBS Los Angeles.

Both woman were arrested and booked into the Orange County Jail Saturday. Lippert was being held on $20,000 for conspiracy and contributing to the delinquency of a minor; Chirelli was held on $50,000 for oral copulation and unlawful sex with a minor, reported the station.

They have posted bail and will be arraigned in court on Wednesday. Neighbors told CBS Los Angeles that both teachers are married and have families.

The school district has notified parents, telling reporters that they are working with the police department.
