A burned body has been found in a Sequoyah County residence near Gans, according to the Sequoyah County Sheriff's Office.
The body was found on Monday (April 7), but Sequoyah County Sheriff Ron Lockhart said the residence it was found in caught fire in late March.
The Sequoyah County Sheriff's Office is assisting the Gans Police Department with the situation, and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has arrived on the scene.
Foul play is not being ruled out as a possibility at this time.
