ROGERS (KFSM)– The Beaver Watershed Alliance will be hosting the War Eagle Creek Cleanup this weekend (Sat. Mar. 21st).

Volunteers will be cleaning the river by boat as well as roadsides and river access areas by foot. Over 15 tons of trash was removed during similar events last year.

Beginning at 9 a.m., volunteers can check-in at War Eagle Mill or Withrow Springs State Park’s Keith Ham Pavilion. They will be supplied with trash bags, gloves, vests, water and maps to designated cleanup locations. Various cleanup sites will include the War Eagle Bridge, Withrow Springs State Park, Highway 412 access, Parker Ford, McLoud Ford, Gar Hole and Aurora Park.

This is a great activity for families, church groups, scout troops, civic clubs, students and people of all ages that want to help take care of War Eagle Creek and its watershed.

The cleanup will kick off Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
