FORT SMITH (KFSM) — A benefit ride for the families of fallen Arkansas police officers has been rescheduled over fears of rainy weather.

The ride was originally scheduled for Saturday (Aug. 13), but will be pushed back to Sunday (Sept. 4).

Motorcyclists can go on one of seven different routes around the state, stopping by local police departments to say thanks and deliver “thank you” cards by Arkansas kids.

The seven routes will begin in Texarkana, Fayetteville, Jonesboro, Monticello, Maumelle, and Fort Smith. Riders should meet at the Fayetteville Police Department at 7:30 a.m., and the Fort Smith Police Department at 8:30 a.m.

The ride will end in Burns Park in Little Rock, where there will be music and lunch.

There is a $20 fee to join the ride, and the proceeds will toward the nonprofit organization Arkansas Concerns of Police Survivors.
