HARRISON, Ark. (AP) — Authorities in northern Arkansas have discovered a body in a debris pile along Crooked Creek in the search for a woman who went missing in November along with her husband during flash floods.

Boone County Sheriff Mike Moore says the body was discovered Saturday (Feb. 9). Moore tells the Harrison Daily Times that authorities believe the body belongs to Amy Villines, but that authorities are awaiting official confirmation from the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory.

Villines and her husband, John Villines, were swept away in flash floods in late November. Their sports utility vehicle was found with one shattered window near a bridge over a creek that feeds into Lake Harrison.

Moore says Amy Villines' body was found about 3 miles upstream from where her husband's body was discovered last week.
