The Arkansas youth turkey season starts Saturday (April 12) and closes Sunday (April 13), according to a news release, Wednesday.

Regular Spring turkey season for adults starts April 19 and closes on May 4.

Limits include:

  • The statewide bag limit is two adult gobblers or bearded hens, no jakes.
  • Zone bag limit: Two adult gobblers or bearded hens, no jakes.
  • Hunters 6 to 15 years old may harvest one jake as part of their two-bird limit during the season (including the youth hunt).
  • No more than one turkey may be taken per day.

Only hunters who are ages 6 to 15 may participate in the youth turkey hunt.

Oklahoma’s spring turkey season goes from April 6 to May 6 statewide. The only exception to this is the southeast region of Oklahoma (this includes: Atoka, Choctaw, Coal, Latimer, Le Flore, McCurtain, Pittsburg and Pushmataha counties), which goes from April 21 to May 6.
