The Republican Party of Arkansas said a district chairman has stepped down just one day after he was quoted saying that Hillary Clinton, “would probably get shot at the state line,” if she ran for president in 2016, according to a report from affiliate station KTHV.

GOP Chairman Doyle Webb said that Johnny Rhoda resigned Wednesday (June 25) after he told U.S. News in an interview he didn’t believe Clinton was popular in Arkansas and that a presidential campaign wouldn’t be well-received, KTHV reported.
