FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – Arkansas sophomore Tevin Beanum was arrested Sunday in Fayetteville on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and illegally possessing alcohol, according to the Washington County Detention Center website.

A redshirt freshman in 2014, Beanum was pulled over after failing to dim his headlights around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report.

He was booked into the Washington County Detention Center at 6:23 a.m., records show.

According to the arrest report, Beanum agreed to take the standardized field sobriety test in which the officer wrote in his notes that “Beanum performed in a manner consistent with an intoxicated person.” The officer’s notes also indicate that an open bottle of brandy was found in the backseat of Beanum’s vehicle.

The report also states that Beanum was administered a BrAC test and “the result was .08.”

Beanum, the  6-foot-4, 265-pound Forest City native, played in 12 of the Razorbacks’ 13 games and recorded 11 total tackles.

Beanum will appear in Fayetteville District Court on March 30, according to the sheriff’s office website.
