JONESBORO, Ark. (WREG) — The Arkansas Department of Health is warning of another case of possible hepatitis A exposure, the latest development in an ongoing epidemic in the northeastern part of the state.

The agency said in a statement Wednesday that an employee of On The Border Mexican Grill and Cantina in Jonesboro tested positive for the virus.

Health officials are encouraging diners who ate there from Dec. 13 to 27 to seek vaccination.

Authorities in October had warned of possible hepatitis A exposure at another Jonesboro restaurant, Murdocks Catfish.

More than 235 cases of hepatitis A have been reported since February as part of an outbreak in Northeast Arkansas, including two deaths.

Symptoms of the contagious liver disease include fever, nausea, fatigue and jaundice.
