FORT SMITH, Ark. — You can now get your holiday shopping done with free parking in downtown Fort Smith.
For several weeks, the parking meters will be covered downtown allowing free parking.
This tradition began a few years ago and has been a hit ever since.
The meters will be covered from now through Jan. 7, 2022.
