The multinational retail corporation which brands itself “Save money. Live Better.” found they were saving customers more money than expected.
Online customers noticed prices on Wednesday abnormally low, with treadmills priced around $33 and computer monitors priced near $9. The AP reports Walmart Stores Inc. says a “technical error” caused certain products to be priced incorrectly on their website. The report from the AP states customers are being notified their orders have been cancelled and their money refunded. The report shows customers will also receive a $10 e-gift card which can be used online or in a store.
The AP reports Walmart has 5 million items online, which is double from last year’s holiday season.
