It’s one of the most extreme workouts at the gym, and soon sick children will benefit from the latest CrossFit craze.
CrossFit 413, a Fort Smith gym, will host a special workout Saturday night to raise money for sick children. Money raised will go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
CrossFit is a special type of workout. It combines weight lifting with gymnastics, power lifting and cardiovascular endurance.
People do a lot of work in a short amount of time.
The Fort Smith gym hopes to raise thousands of dollars for the children at St. Jude.
“I put us up for two-thousand dollars, and we’ll hit that easy,” said Daniel Lunney, CrossFit owner.
Bentonville and Fayetteville CrossFit locations are also participating in the nationwide fundraiser.
