Fayetteville fire leaves one person dead and two injured

One woman is dead and two men are in the hospital after an apartment fire in Fayetteville Saturday (Nov. 21) morning.

FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas — One woman is dead and two men are in the hospital after an apartment fire in Fayetteville Saturday (Nov. 21) morning.

The fire happened at around 3 a.m. at the corner of Gregg and Center across from Trailside Yoga and B-Unlimited.

Upon arriving, the Fayetteville Fire Department got reports of people trapped inside a fully involved second floor. Crews were able to successfully remove three victims from the fire and began life-saving measures.

One victim is deceased and the other two are being treated for burns and smoke inhalation at Washington Regional. 

The deceased victim has been identified as Hannah Reneè Shuster, 21. According to her sister Jordan Shuster, she had just recently moved into the complex.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
