LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Little Rock police officers are investigating after a homicide left one dead on Saturday, March 12.
Officers responded to a shooting on West 65th Street and found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
One of the victims, 18-year-old Darion Threets, was found in a white sedan.
One person injured, 24-year-old Maliek Brookins, was transported to the hospital, while the victim in the white sedan died at the scene.
Threets' body was transported to the State Crime Lab for an autopsy.
Detectives searched the apartment complex, accessed video surveillance and made contact with several witnesses.
After investigating and watching video evidence, Brookins was named a suspect and capital murder warrants were issued.
He is still undergoing treatment at the hospital and will be charged and transported to PCRJ once he is discharged.
Omarion Williams was also arrested as a suspect in the homicide.
