Mitchell says the suspect in the shooting fled the scene in an unknown vehicle. They were later arrested by Arkansas State Police in Crawford County. Mitchell had identified the suspect as 26-year-old Rancari Pope.

The female victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of multiple injuries. Mitchell says she is in stable condition.

Pope is being held without bond at the Sebastian County Detention Center and is being charged with Battery, Aggravated Robbery and Aggravated Residential Burglary.

5NEWS was able to speak to one of the victim's neighbors who said he saw the woman following the shooting.

“She walked out the door like “help, he shot me,” she was leaking blood walking out her door," says neighbor William Henson. “That woman would give the shirt off her back, for that to happen, I’m still shaken up."
