Tyson closes $200 million acquisition of Williams Sausage

In a filing with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission on May 8, Tyson said it expected to spend between $200 million and $250 million on a “pending activity.”

SPRINGDALE, Ark. — Tyson Foods Inc. of Springdale announced Monday that it had closed the acquisition of Williams Sausage Co. Inc. of Union City, Tennessee.

Tyson Foods didn’t release the deal’s exact terms. In a filing with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission on May 8, Tyson said it expected to spend between $200 million and $250 million on a “pending activity.”

The deal was first announced in February.
