Tyler joined the 5NEWS weather team in September of 2020.
His passion for weather started at a young age. Growing up in Wisconsin, Tyler would watch the local news any time thunderstorms or winter storms were in the forecast. In fact, his love for the weather was so clear that his first-grade teacher predicted that he would grow up to be a broadcast meteorologist.
Fast forward a couple of years, and Tyler ended up getting a degree in meteorology from UNC Asheville, where he also played college soccer as a goalkeeper. He had two summer internships in his college years, one with WKRN in Nashville and another at CNN in Atlanta. After graduating, Tyler took a job as a weekday morning meteorologist in north-central Wisconsin, back closer to family, where he saw his fair share of snow and cold along with severe weather in the summer.
Tyler is excited to explore Northwest Arkansas and all it has to offer. He is a big fan of the outdoors, which is why he is happy to call the Ozarks home. Hiking, mountain biking, camping, kayaking, fishing, golf, you name it outside, he loves to do it. You will often find Zion, Tyler's dog, alongside him on walks and hikes. Being from Wisconsin, Tyler is a big supporter of the Bucks, Brewers, Badgers, and of course, the Packers.
