JOHNSON, Ark. — Jonathan Acosta joined the 5NEWS team in September 2021.
Jonathan comes to Arkansas after spending the previous two years in Eugene, Oregon. During his time in the Pacific Northwest, he produced a 30-minute sports show, before moving into an anchor and reporter role, covering everything from the Oregon Ducks and Oregon State Beavers to the US Track and Field Olympic Trials at Hayward Field.
Sports have always played a big part in Jonathan’s life. He was born in Rhode Island and is an avid New England sports fan, especially the Patriots. From there, he moved to the south and grew up in Tampa, Florida. He graduated from the University of Florida in 2015, which included covering his beloved Gators win the 2017 College World Series in Omaha. He hopes to bring some of that good luck to the Hogs on the diamond!
