JOHNSON, Arkansas — Chicagoan Zoie Henry is one of the newest members of the 5NEWS team. You can catch her reporting during the week and then on weekend evenings as a 5NEWS anchor.
She grew up in city-proper Chicago, Illinois with her parents and younger sister Drew. Zoie and her family enjoying theater, Broadway and on-stage performances. Zoie spent most of her life as a dancer at Hyde Park School of Dance in Chicago.
Zoie loves storytelling because there is no one way to tell a story. Journalism is often the first draft of history and being a reporter gives her a front seat to the action.
Zoie graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri where she earned her Bachelor of Journalism with an emphasis in television anchoring and reporting. In college, Zoie anchored, produced and reported for the local NBC affiliate in Columbia. She also participated in the National Association of Black Journalists Ale Chapter, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and LBC Gospel Choir on MU’s campus.
Off the air, aside from performance, she enjoys the scenery and adventure that Northwest Arkansas has to offer.
