VAN BUREN- An accident involving an 18-wheeler sent two people to the hospital this morning.
The accident happened around 4:30 in Van Buren on Interstate 40.
Police say the semi was traveling east on 40 following another truck onto Exit seven... the driver then realized that was not his exit.
Authorities say the driver then overcorrected trying to get back into his lane and tipped over onto a guard rail.
Officials say the truck was hauling cookware.
Both the driver and the passenger were sent to Summit Hospital.
