It's an adventure similar to a safari. It's affordable and children will love it. The best part is that it's right in northwest Arkansas.
Wild Wilderness Drive-Through Safari in Gentry started many years ago with a herd of buffalo. It was a gift for the original owner, Ross Wilmoth, from his wife, Freda. Since then, it's grown and has more than buffalo.
"You never know what you're going to see out here. We've got a baby tiger right now, big snakes, and you can stay out here all day and keep it local. The kids love it," says Aaron Kooistra of Wild Wilderness Drive-Through Safari.
They have animals you're never seen before and some you never thought you'd see. "We've got everything from aardvarks to numerous types of deer," says Kooistra.
Some of the animals will walk up to your car for a look. The Safari has big cats and baby cats. They have big monkeys and little monkeys.
There's even an area where you can pet some of the animals. Depending on when you go, you can hold a baby tiger, a baby lemur, or even a wolf puppy. The kids can end the visit with a camel ride.
