One man is dead after a late night accident in a Fayetteville neighborhood.
A neighbor tells 5 News he heard a loud explosion and power blacked out in the area near Stephens Avenue and Mount Comfort Road.
When police arrived they found a silver PT Cruiser flipped over in a nearby yard.
Authorities believe the driver may have been speeding, and lost control on the slick road before hitting a power pole.
The name of the driver has not been released.
Authorities say blood tests will be done to determine if alcohol was a factor.
Police have Mount Comfort Road blocked off from Addington Avenue to Lewis, until electric crews can repair the broken pole.
