Crews respond to storage building fire in Rogers, one person injured

ROGERS, Ark — Firefighters put out a fire at a pair of storage buildings in Rogers late Friday, Oct. 22, afternoon. 

Smoke from the fire behind a home located on the 300 block of S. Promenade Blvd. could be seen for miles away. 

According to the Rogers Fire Department, one person was injured due to the incident. 

“We rapidly put it out within 5 minutes. There was only minor injuries that were sustained by the homeowner but he refused care," said Fire Captain Joseph Jerabeck. “The cause is undetermined it will probably take a few days to figure out.”

5NEWS is working to learn more about what sparked the flames and the person injured. 

The homeowner shared he watched his life fall apart in front of him. He also said that the garage was his entire life. The car destroyed in the fire was his job, he drove for a ridesharing company.
